At the 2016 World Alcohol Beverage Alliance (WABA) annual meeting — with the theme of “Co-establish Global Platform, Facilitate Development of Alcohol Industry”, also a major event of the 6th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Drinks Expo, World Alcoholic Beverage Alliance Institute for Research published “The Development Report of Global Alcohol Industry 2016”. Mainstream media such as CCTV and People.cn reported this news and drew attentions from Industry insiders around the world.

Li Jinhua, Vice-Chairman of 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference wrote a preface for this report. Li Wuwei, economist and Vice-Chairman of 11th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Dr. Ante Simonić, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, and Gen. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, former Prime Minister of Thailand, as advisers. Lu Yongzheng, Vice-Governor of People’s Government of Guizhou Province, Meng Qiliang, Vice-Chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Ge Zhirong, Counsellor of the State Council, Vice-Chairman of the World Alcoholic Beverage Alliance, President of the Association of China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine, as directors. The report was completed by dozens of experts, scholars and entrepreneurs all over the world. The report focuses on current development, industry prosperity index, risks and opportunities, and competition situations of Baijiu, wine, beer, and Huangjiu. It also studies and publishes economic scope, operational capacity, profitability, periodic development features, and development of cyclic dynamics and structure of the demand for Chinese alcohol industry.

The first feature is extensive. It strengthened the research of current situation for international market by analyzing international alcoholic industry.
