World Alcohol Beverage Alliance (WABA) officials visited Zhang Yu International Wine City.

On October 13, 2018, Dr. Ge Zhirong, Vice President of WABA, along with Dr. Chen Zeming, Secretary-General, visited Zhangyu International Wine City, Yantai City in the Shandong Province of China. Accompanied by the General Manager and Factory Director of Zhangyu Wine Industrial Park, Mr. Ge Zhirong and other members were introduced to Zhangyu’s history & culture, its development processes included production of product and its characteristics with its technical advantages in the current market situation and future growth prospects.

Vice Chairman Dr. Ge Zhirong provided his views on Zhangyu Wine and said that it is a great example of innovation and progress in China’s wine industry as their accurate prediction about the market trends and well-adjusted production structure setting the conformed trend of the times make them achievers of good economic and social benefits. He also added that he is fully affirmed with contribution of Yantai’s economic development in China’s wine industry to the world.

Dr. Chan Zeming, Secretary-General of WABA, also provided his views and said that he truly believed that Zhang Yu’s increased investment in R&D with advanced equipment was the best choice to create value is the only way to upgrade. He also praised Zhang Yu for his meticulous qualification as he holds a degree in wine making management which made him the owner of this great craftsmanship spirit.

After that Zhang Baochun, the only female Chinese brandy winemaker then introduced every one with the history & culture of brewing technology, storage and different styles of consuming the Keya Brandy with the collection of cognac brandy winery.

Zhangyu International Wine City had a total investment of 5 billion Yuan and an area of 5,500 mu. It is a comprehensive park for the integration of wine cultivation with the technical research and development for  wine and brandy production with tourism activities as well. After all the production will be into operation the annual revenue estimated to reach 10 billion Yuan, and profits and taxes will be 2 billion Yuan.
